We always like to keep our pulse on what’s new and noteworthy in interior design as it naturally goes hand-in-hand with our painting and remodeling services. Here’s what some of the top authorities, such as Elle Decor and blogger Katrina Chambers, in interior design are saying are the hottest 2017 interior design trends.
Need a little brightening up? You’ll notice this cheery shade of green popping up in home decor, fashion and commercial design in 2017. Named the 2017 Pantone Color Of The Year, “Greenery” represents refreshment and revitalization—something we all could use in today’s world, according to Pantone.
Spotted all over the red carpet at New York Fashion Week’s fall 2016 shows, we know that what comes around in fashion, goes around in interior design soon thereafter. There are so many ways to take this trend but we love mixing both patterns and colors for a chic gypsy effect, like this bedroom featured on Houzz.com above.
Possibly our favorite of the 2017 interior design trends is artisan chic. Think: tactical patterns such as embroidery, felt, knitting and crochet, and the incorporating of handmade artisan goods. Artisan doesn’t have to mean low-budget, however (though it can be if you prefer). They look more like unique pieces collected during travels all over the world and offer an eclectic, artsy style.
NAVY IS THE NEW BLACK
Black just a little too stark for your home to handle? Try navy this year instead. Whether you’re looking to accent a room, paint all of its walls or simply update bathr
oom cabinets, navy blue is one of the beautiful 2017 interior design trends. Bonus: it won’t visually shrink a small space like black can sometimes do.
Otherwise known as “raw whites,” these hues, such as bone and more natural-looking whites, come across as organic, shabby-chic (like this home) and earthy.
