We were so inspired by this adorable painted door we found and posted about on Facebook last week that we instantly started looking all over the place — from Pinterest to Houzz to Castle Painting projects! — for more gorgeous front doors in various paint colors. What’s so great about a colorful front door is that it amplifies the style of your neutral house. It gives it personality! Your personality. And if your house exterior is already a bright color, like a bluebird blue, you might want to go in the opposite direction with a neutral door. Whether you go bright or neutral, refreshing front doors with paint gives your home’s exterior an instant facelift. It’s really easy to do (a professional is always recommended, of course, so you don’t mess up this very important feature) and a cost-effective way to make a big impact on your home’s style. The following are some of our findings!
Queen of Green!
Love the contrast of the bright green with the gray and white house.
This front door just makes us HAPPY. What gorgeous front door paint, and a great pairing with the white exterior. Now that’s the way to make your company feel invited.
Blue is so hue
It makes for a classic pair — red brick and a royal blue painted front door. Smashing! We can see this working on a lot of Atlanta’s red brick homes. Add stark white trim and a pair of enormous and fabulous green ferns.
Okay, in full disclosure, this is actually a BACK door, not a front door with paint. However, it’s rare that you see a PINK door, and this one works so well with the artsy attitude of this abode. Plus, the robin’s egg blue peakaboo is adorable on the inside of the door frame.
Orange Is the New Red
Red doors are still lovely, of course, and definitely a classic to be cherished, but orange is a modern take on the fire-engine red front door. If your neighbors all have red doors, why not switch it up with something different?
What color did or would you choose when refreshing front doors with paint?
