Your kitchen is more than just the area where you make your meals. It’s the epicenter of your home. It’s where guests and family alike congregate for conversation and hangout time — if you have seats at a kitchen bar or island, this is especially true. If you are looking to spruce up the look of your kitchen (aka get rid of the clutter on the countertops and crazy-messy drawers), but can’t put your all into a bigger kitchen remodel at the moment, consider some home organizing solutions that can make a large impact on the room. 1. Cabinet envy. Space is often an issue for many homeowners. Is there any room for the addition of a kitchen cabinet or two that could make all the difference? There could be and you might not even know it! Consider bringing in a remodeler (we would be happy to help!) to assess the area since a professional often has a better eye and can suggest some good ideas. Photo via Custom Pull-Out Shelves 2. How low can you go? What does the inside of those kitchen cabinets look like below the surface of your countertops? If you’re like most homeowners, you’re likely not making the most of those spaces. Consider getting pull-out shelves installed in all of your base cabinets. Where did all that space come from?!
3. Climb the walls. You only can go up from here! 🙂 Make use of your vertical spaces (hey, every inch counts, right?), like this clever kitchen organizing solution from Starline Cabinets that builds in space to hide paperwork, hooks for keys, a cork board and whiteboard for things like shopping lists and family reminders. Also, think about using a magnetic board to hang your knifes from on the wall versus taking up precious kitchen counter space with a butcher block. And there might be room to hang pots and pans or other utensils or spices in an orderly fashion. Just get it off the counters!

Also make use of matching storage containers that can keep packaged goods fresh for longer…and off of your countertops! Whether you have a walk-in pantry or not, it’s one of the most fabulous organizational tools your kitchen can have. Check out how this kitchen pantry above makes use of door organizers and pull-out shelves that rotate for easy access to all of your packaged goods. Was this post helpful?
