We spend so much time thinking about our front door and how it greets guests — the right door, a cheerful color, planted urns overflowing with bright flowers, a cute doormat and a lovely wreath. But for many of us, we never go in and out of our own front doors! More often than not, we pull in and out of our cluttered, cob-web filled, messy garage day after day. But you can change that and make your garage a place of beauty! After all, it is the first and last thing you likely see of your home every day. To get you started, peruse the garage makeover ideas we love here.
Above, perhaps the easiest way to get started. Like your front door, why not paint the door leading from your garage to your home? We love this beautiful teal door, grey, scuff-free steps and the wrought iron handrail. Easy-peasy and a lovely addition!

We love a fun and cheerful workshop! This space with its black and red tiles is happy and organized. The pegboard organizes the homeowners’ tools and the red cabinet is a great place to hide clutter. We love the seated potting bench with extra lighting added above, perfect for an afternoon of potting plants.

Looking at this photo, you may not even realize this stylish place is a garage! But it is indeed, a gorgeous garage. This homeowner painted her garage floor white and taped off the stylish design on the floor. The space also has an in-home gym, a desk for projects (not pictured) and we love the storage bin system with clear bins and pink lids. Racked up, they are organized and functional.

Who says paint is just for the rooms inside your home? HGTV’s 2016 Dream House featured this indigo blue garage, a happy place to park every day. With the white stained concrete and black tool storage, this garage is both perfectly functional and perfectly lovely.

Mudrooms are all the rage inside the home but why not create one in your garage? You can shed all your boots and sports gear before being tempted to pile it up inside. We love this organized space with bright blue doors and crisp white bead board.

Swoon—we love this stylish garage. The exotic wood cabinets from floor to ceiling are both chic and useful. With the addition of the sink and counter top, this homeowner also added the perfect workstation. The stained concrete floor here looks at ease with the elegant cabinets but still makes for easy clean up. This garage has the style of a mid century modern library—what a lovely place to come home to!
