Adding both color and eco-friendly features, the doghouse above features a rooftop garden for keeping the doghouse cool. Water runoff streams down the collection system of drip bowls. And perhaps most important for this puppy inhabitant, the home features a slate floor, perfect for keeping your furry friend cool during the hot Atlanta summers.

How adorable is this pug-friendly Brooklyn Brownstone? DIY Network hosted a competition for best doghouse and while the brownstone was a runner up, it was our favorite. Built by artist Bruce Tunis, the doghouse boasted a functional electric street lamp and chandelier. It also features a hinged roof for storage. We love the classic NYC color scheme here of the brown with green and terrra cotta accents.

We love this classic brick colonial for the pup of discerning traditional taste. The specialty paint technique is great here — don’t those bricks look real? Designed by dog house designer (real thing) Alan Mowrer, this house can be tailored to mirror an owner’s home exactly by adjusting size and proportions. You even get a custom blueprint before construction starts! But all this luxury does come with a price tag, this home sells for a whopping $25K.

We love the clean light blue and white color scheme — it’s perfect for any stylish pup!

While not a separate house on its own, we had to mention this plush dog room. Perfect for foster parents or breeders, we loved the attention to detail here. From the built-in, barn style cages to the lounge furniture in the center to the glittering chandelier, this room is fabulous. Bonus points go to the metallic paint stenciled walls, they are beautiful!
